Air Knife Systems utilize compressed air for industrial blow off and cooling applications. Used extensively for replacing rows of nozzles or jets or drilled pipe to reduce energy. The curtain-like airflow of the Air Knife is an efficient way to dry, clean, and cool.

Air knives are “linear” amplifiers that consist of a body with a plenum chamber, a cap and either a machined gap in the body or a shim to maintain an even gap along the length of the air knife. The efficiency of an air knife depends on the design of the inside plenum chamber as well as outside shape.  The goal is to produce the highest force/air consumption ratio.   In addition, you want to be able to get the most force over its length at the lowest possible input pressure as that also lowers compressed air cost. The Nex Flow™ X-Stream™ Air Blade™ Air Knives accomplishes that over competitive products.  Standard Air Blade™ Air knives are an older design still used in some applications (the exiting air bends 90 degrees exiting the air knife gap) but the X-Stream^™ Air Blade^™ Air knives are 25% more efficient and also have a greatly lower noise level.
